Whoops - no can do

A walk in the park

I visited Parc Buttes Chaumont on a sunny autumn morning with a diminutive French model and tattoo artist who goes by the name of VonParis. This was a passion project with both of us contributing our time to create some magical images with a fairy tale kind of vibe to them. My model had seen some of my other work and wanted to capture something that didn't fall under the category of regular fashion or portrait work.

VonParis is a quirky little model with a great selection of tattoos and piercings to add to her fabulous and unique clothing style sense. She also had a great sense of posing and was able to act out dramatic facial expressions. An all-round, wonderful model to work with and a lovely person too. You can find her blog at The Opium Dens

The park offers a huge selection of locations including wooded areas, lakes and streams, a greek temple, suspension bridge and a large cavern with a waterfall and pool beneath it. Sadly the waterfall was not functioning during our visit.

My favourite location was the cavern with provided some of my favourite images taken to date. It's a location I will return to again and again.

In a very brief shoot I managed to capture around 180 shots and I was so pleased with them that it was difficult to select the keepers. In the end I opted for applying a variety of post-production techniques in Photoshop to create a wide range of interesting images. You can find a small selection on this page.
